Welcome Reception on Monday Sep 2, 2024
Dear conference participants,
We warmly welcome to you to the 19th European Meeting on Complement in Human Diseases on September 2 with a Welcome Reception. The reception will take place after the Teaching Day and the Satellite Symposium and will provide the perfect opportunity to reconnect with old acquaintances, meet new people and to discuss the impressions of the first day.
As an inspiring icebreaker, a Science Slam, co-hosted by the scientific youth organisation, Early-Career Complementologists (ECCO), will entertain you with the professional performance by Tim Hollstein, the finalist of the 2023 German Science Slam Championship, as well as two casted early career scientists who will delight you with their creative presentations.
The reception will take place in the 800-year-old five-nave Gothic hall church of St. Petri, which was destroyed in World War II and rebuild by 1987. Today St. Petri is no longer used as a church but has become a vibrant event and exhibition centre where innovative ideas and historical architecture come together. From the viewing platform at a height of 50 meters, you can look out over the narrow streets, the old town with its medieval buildings, and the vast Lübeck countryside.
Don’t miss the opportunity to take the first step to connect with peers at this unforgettable conference experience.
We hope to see you all there.
Sincerely,
Your Local Organizing Comitee
